Program Details and Requirements

Group Structure

 

  • Mini Piranhas
    • Junior Coach lead
    • Must be able to swim 15m on own
    • Minimum age of 5
    • Ability to hold breath underwater, basic motor kicking skills
    • Goals: learning submarines, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke kick, dolphin kick, tumble turns

 

  • Big Fish (1 & 2)
    • Senior Coach lead w/Junior Coach Assist
    • Must be able to swim 25m-50m
    • Groups divided by ability & skill
    • Minimum age of 7
    • Relay awareness/knowledge
    • Training for swim meets
    • Goals: Proper dives + turns, learning freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly

 

  • Junior Splash
    • Senior Coach lead
    • Swim club experience
    • Strong commitment required
    • Junior Competitive: Train for swim meets, with goals to attend swim meets & regional swim meet at the end of the summer season
    • Goals: continuing to execute all 4 strokes, turns, dives

 

  • Junior Development
    • Senior Coach lead
    • Knowledge of freestyle, backstroke, dolphin kick
    • Ability to swim at least 300m on their own
    • Strong commitment required
    • Train for swim meets, with goals to attend swim meets & regional swim meet at the end of the summer season

 

  • Junior Sprint
    • Senior Coach lead
    • Swim club experience
    • Strong commitment required
    • Junior Competitive: Train for swim meets, with goals to attend swim meets & regional swim meet at the end of summer season
    • Goals: continuing to execute all 4 strokes, turns, dives

 

  • Senior Group (A+B) – Divided by age & skill (Athlete’s Development Model)
    • Senior Coach lead
    • Swim club experience
    • Senior Competitive: Attending swim meets, including regionals swim meet
    • Strong commitment required
    • Knowledge and execution of all strokes, turns and starts
